From concept to backstage

  • We develop concepts through visual research and collaboration with creative teams. Designs integrate narrative, movement, and technical requirements. We manage sample making and fittings.

  • We assemble and lead costume teams, managing makers, timelines, and budgets. Clear communication and problem-solving ensure smooth execution and on-time delivery.

  • We coordinate fittings, provide maintenance and dressers, and manage transport and logistics.

  • Classical ballet (corsetry, jackets, tutus), contemporary dancewear and stretch performance wear, theatre and film costumes. We coordinate make-up, wigs, and shoes. No props.

Acus Works is led by Anja Mlakar, a Costume Designer and Production Manager trained at Central Saint Martins (MA Womenswear Design, BA Art History), with proven expertise managing complex creative projects at The Royal Ballet School and the Royal Opera House.
